About The Film

A trend setter in the history of Hyderabad, the 2006 film 'The Angrez', is one of the pioneers in Hyderabadi cinema. A runaway hit, having created records in cinema theatres, the movie has developed an iconic fan following in all these years. The film was a major hit in the US and UK too. The audiences haven't been able to forget the film's characters Salim Pheku and Ismail Bhai. Spoofs and parodies continue to release on YouTube based on the movie.

The Angrez Story

Every successful venture has an interesting back story and its share of difficulties and triumphs. The Angrez is no exception. How this film came into making is an interesting story in itself.

Kunta Nikkil, the director of the film, spent a good amount of time on the script of 'The Angrez'. He approached many people, shot a half hour promo on a DV Camera, yet nobody came forward.

Enter M Sridhar Rao, an ISB alumnus and an entrepreneur, who saw the potential in the script and braved to produce the film.

About The Producer

M Sridhar Rao, an ISB alumnus and an entrepreneur, is a dynamic individual who loves to explore the various facets of life. After finding success in his construction business, he wanted to try something new with his career. A risk taker by heart, he decided to produce films. While he was producing A Film by Arvind, he happened to meet Kunta Nikkil and after hearing the script of The Angrez, decided to produce the film. He is now proud to be presenting The Angrez 2.
